"Ramona Collins imho is a lady who's talent has been largely overlooked on the national jazz scene. A native of Toledo Ohio, Ms. Collins has performed largely in Detroit and Toledo. She has headlined at Bakers Keyboard Lounge, Detroit, the oldest jazz club in the United States.



Her excellent CD "Everything Old is New Again"; was performed at Rusty's Jazz Cafe in Toledo. I especially liked her renditions of Cheek to Cheek, Old Devil Moon and Time after Time. This lady has such excellent range and obvious on stage talent that it is a shame more of her CD's are not available. Backed up by "Line One, the group was just excellent jazz talent of the old school. Piano work by Eric Dickey and sax man Mark Lemle were real stand outs. Recorded live to a enthusiastic audience. This CD is a must for fans of "undiscovered" jazz vocalists.
