Synopsis

Product Description
Rachelle Spector is a woman on a mission. Make that several missions. In July, she ll release her debut CD Out Of My Chelle , produced and largely written by legendary music producer, Phil Spector. It is his first music project in more than 30 years and the first collaboration for this husband wife team.

Out of my Chelle, on the independent label Genius 4Ever Records, is a contemporary, mainstream, adult pop record the perfect vehicle for Rachelle s effervescent vocal and her unfailing upbeat, positive demeanor.

She s fantastic on this album, Spector says of his wife. She sings better than anyone else could have! I trusted her with my life and songs and production because she s that good.

Mrs. Spector that more than a few eyebrows are likely to be raised at the thought of her musical endeavors given the sensational circumstances of her husband s murder trial, his current incarceration and the couple s much-scrutinized relationship. But Rachelle is determined to have success and be recognized on her own terms.

CD Reviews

If Phil Spector actually produced this, I'll eat my hat...

"It is my opinion that Phil Spector merely put his name on this to give his wife's banal and ordinary music career some attention. Phil may have abandoned his wall of sound techniques on his last few works, but I find it hard to believe he would generate something so non-musical as this polished turd. It wouldn't be the first time Phil Spector simply put his name on an artists album. Many of the engineers and musicians who worked on John Lennon's Plactic Ono Band said that Phil was hardly ever at the sessions and had very limited input to the final product. George Harrison also recorded much of the backing tracks for his classic All Things Must Pass album without Phil Spector present (though his input on that double LP is more strongly felt due to his insistence on overdubbing orchestral and choral parts throughout).

Phil Spector's nuts but I don't think he's nuts enough to produce this kind of garbage. How do you go from "Be My Baby", "Da Doo Ron Ron", "River Deep Mountain High" and "Black Pearl" to this heap of Britney Spears rejects circa 1998?!!

I was hoping for Phil to turn in the kind of work he does best. It appears his wife could carry a tune if she wanted to. Too bad she's carrying the wrong one for the entire length of this CD.

Please... put this back in it's "chelle" and call me when you decide to make some real music.
