Fantastic

(5 out of 5 stars)

""Six String Voodoo" is easily, far and away the greatest jazz-rock fusion album I've heard in years. I was never a huge Quicksilver Messenger Service fan - I like them, I listen every now and then, but can pretty much live without their albums except for "Happy Trails". I say this because "Happy Trails" is generally considered the very height of the band's instrumental artistry.

Well, think again. Gary Duncan's Quicksilver has just blown that classic set out of the water here, no mean feat even considering that "Six String Voodoo" is a studio set. This cd is nothing but brilliance from start to finish, Duncan is...proving that he's one of the most underrated songwriting guitarists of all time, among other things.

I'm not exaggerating, people. This is one mighty mother----- of an album and one I'm going to be having in heavy rotation for a very long time.

Fusion hasn't been this exciting in years."
