Ghetto Nasty

"Once again Harmless records have comprised another nasty funk compilation for funk fiendin' junkies like myself. The grooves on volume 3 of the series will definately cause some bow movements and possibly a little vommitting. If you are one of the few, the proud, the 70's funk lovers, then buying this cd is a no brainer. I would go into detail about each gruesome track, but I would be writing all night. This cd only gets 4 stars because i'm comparing it to Pulp Fusion 4:Fully Loaded which is the best out of the series."
WICKED STARTER CD FOR THE UNANITIATED

"Well as ive said above the whole pulp fusion series is an absoloutely first class collection of music and one of the best ways for beginners to get into the genre of funk, soul, jazz and even slightly discoish music from the 70's(but try the Mastercuts Classic Funk cds first). The first two cds actually gave me the insight and courage to really kickstart my funk cd collection (450 and rising). Even serious funkaholics will find something on the pulp cds that were hitherto out of reach (try Lafeyette afro rock bands 'Darkest light' or Sonny Stitt's 'Slick Eddie'). And for the beginners amongst you try Pleasure's 'Joyous' one of my personal faves. All the pulp fusion cds come highly recommended."
Shaft's Favorite Album?

"Just purchased this one, I found it accidentally while searching for another album, and I had to have it. This is a compilation of Funky Jazz tunes from the 70's. Much of it sounds similar to music from shaft or Starsky & Hutch, and it is truly awesome. My favorite is Track 9 Azymuth/Dear Limmertz ...very funky indeed. I would recommend any fan of funk to buy this album and the other 6 albums in the Pulp Fusion collection."
