"Different Class is what unleashed Pulp onto the world, and secured them a place in any good record collection. That is a masterpiece. This is the "Different Class / Second Class" 2 CD set, only available on import in most places. On the Different Class CD, there are two additional songs, "PTA", and cute little song, and an 8 minute dance club remix of "Common People". Not bad.The second CD is the B-sides, the only Pulp B-sides compilation available. These are the B-sides from all the Different Class, His 'n' Hers, and the earlier Island singles like "Sisters EP". For the most part, they are very good. "Ansaphone", "Your Sister's Clothes", and "Deep Fried In Kelvin" (which was used, but not on the soundtrack, for "The Full Monty") are brilliant songs. Others, like "The Babysitter" and "Street Lites" are more bizarre. Other little goodies included here are an extended version of "Live Bed Show" (which was on the first "Disco 2000" single) and "Common People 96", which is simply an edited version of the same song. Worth getting for the obsessed Pulp fan."
Special edition... GREAT!

"Forget other Brit pop groups, Pulp were the true stars to come out of the 'Brit Pop' scene in my opinion. Different Class is one of the best CDs I own, there is not a track I dont like on it, specilly in this japanesse version where the 11 bonus tracks will leave extremely surprise and delighted. What really makes this great is the quality of the songs writen by Jarvis Cocker, each one tells a great story from 'Common People' about a rich student who wants to pretend to be poor because she thinks it is cool, to 'Sorted for e's and wizz' about the rave parties in the early 90's. I could go on about every track but I won't. I cant belive this came out 5 years ago, it still sounds so fresh and I play it all the time. If you liked common people and disco 2000 (the main singles) you will like the rest because the quality is consistent through all the tracks, and if u already own a common people "common edition" forget about it, give it to your sister and BUY this edition. BUY IT! You'll not regreat!"

"If you can get hold of the box set of »Different Class«, do it! The other CD in the box »Second Class« is even better than the main CD.And this IS good stuff. The happy way in which Pulp sings about tragic comic situations of everyday life makes you join in singing, but it also makes you think. After all, life's worth living."
