A must-buy for Poulenc fans and a fun piece for everyone.

"This is a wonderful disc. It is a 1999 premier recording of Les animaux modèles and the only current copy of Les biches generally avaailable. Both pieces present the light, joyous side of Poulenc. Les biches is simply my favorite piece of orchestral music. It always lifts my spirits, and I can hear it over and over again. If you don't know it, make your life better. Lex animaux is in the same spirit. Not as much fun, but still a pleasant way to spend half an hour."
