Excellent Mozart recital by a promising young singer

"Elena Mosuc is a promising young singer from Romania. On this Mozart recital disc, she sings pretty well and shows real temperament. She has a really good coloratura technique. All it needs is a better-formed trill and more fine-tuning. Her trill is a real one, but as I said before, it needs more work. I liked both of her Queen of the Night arias. In the Vengeance Aria, she shows very good staccati, wonderful high F's, and real temperament. "Ach, ich liebte" is a really difficult aria that holds few terrors for Mosuc. The two Mozart concert arias are well-sung, "Vorrei spiegarvi, oh, Dio" showing real dramatic commitment. She manages the difficult leap near the end quite well. I liked her renditions of the Mass in C minor and "Exsultate, jubilate".
