(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the second album by Swedish glam metal band "The Poodles" following their 2006 debut. Although on their second release, band members are by no means the new kids on the block; Lead singer Jacob Samuel was the original "Talisman" drummer back in 89-90 while guitarist Pontus Norgren played with "Great King Rat" amongst other glam outfits before joining "Talisman" in the late 90s.

This album is loaded with fantastic Hard Rock tracks that mange to capture one's full attention. The musicianship and the composing level challenges and surpasses most glorified 80s bands while at the same time sounds spontaneous and natural.

This album definitely does not follow the cliché of having two hit songs amongst a handful of fillers. Indeed, from start to finish every song has something to offer; every composition has its own individuality while at the same time retains the cohesiveness of the album as a whole.

In comparison to their debut, this album goes far from their love/hate themes, rather promoting the idea of taking chances, defying odds and claiming one's territory. Personal favorites include: "Thunderball", "Streets of Fire", "Seven seas", "Reach the sky" and "Walk the line".

This band has got everything; incredible compositions, original image, powerful vocals and one can not help but love Kicken's four-bass beat drum set. If there is indeed a revival of the glam metal genre then "The Poodles" are epitomizing the progress in Europe.

"Powerplay" UK magazine (issue 95) marks this release with 9/10 awarding it as "album of the month"
