"[Craig Ogden is] a worthy successor to Julian Bream." - BBC MUSIC Gerard McChrystal took up the saxophone at age seventeen and went on to become his nation's most honored performer. He has concertized in over twenty countries and now teaches sax at Trinity College of Music, London, and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Cardiff. Craig Ogden has recorded for Chandos Records, Nimbus, Virgin Classics, Hyperion, and Sony. His very first recording received a Grammy nomination. McChrystal and Ogden formed a duo in 2003 but as there is little music written for their unusual combination, they have either arranged other works or had works written for them. All the works on this CD were commissioned by the duo.
