Make A Joyful Noise Onto The Lord!!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Plankeye's "The Spark" is a masterpiece. It is not just for Christian Contemporary listeners--it is for everybody, and yes, it is sure to inspire many. Steve Stilletta is a great singer/songwriter, whose vocals are always captivating, and whose material always inspires. There are hints of influences of other, mainstream bands, such as Pearl Jam, but the performance is all their own. From the irresistable "It's A Beautiful Day Jerome," the anthemic "Open House," the acoustic ballad "Three-Fold Chord," "Drive," "Boy," and the ska-flavored "Wings To Fly," the album is a must own. My favorite cut (if I have to choose just one!) would have to be "Open House.""
Garage Rock that focuses on the soul.

"Plankeye's breakout album is full good-old guitar driven power pop. They could be compared to Weezer at times, yet with moodier melodies and deeper, more thought-provoking lyrics. All in all, this is an album for anyone who enjoys post-grunge, Beatle-influence, bluesy power pop with a little bit of pep on the side."
