Synopsis

Album Description
Pina's 2005 album shows signs of an artist that has grown into the dual role of songwriter and front person, but also gives her a chance to flex her rock muscle with a much punchier sound. While the songs are still personal, as in her debut album 'Quick Look', they now show signs of a happier person more at peace with herself and the world around her. Features the first single 'Butterfly' plus more. 10 total tracks. EMI.

Refreshing, well produced, and a bold step for Real World Re

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Building off her excellent debut album, "Guess You Got It" is an even better release by the Austrian artist living/working out of Ireland. With excellent songwriting and arrangements that never go for the cliche' approach, this album is engaging from start to finish. The musicianship is bold and well-played (many instruments by Pina herself), but always in service to the song. Rising above it all is her wonderful, unusual voice. The timbre is like Melanie with more of a modern, rock edge. Lyrics sung in English by someone growing up in Austria not speaking native English, filtered through a growing Irish lilt. There's nothing like it, and it provides a hook (beyond the great song hooks themselves) that keeps me reaching for this CD. Take a chance and buy it, but realize that you'll soon be buying her debut CD as well."
