"Phoebe is a force to be reckoned with. She's got a stellar voice, has excellent songwriting chops, and is virtuosic at piano and accordion (which is not necessarily a pop/cabaret instrument). This album, while a bit more produced than her prior efforts, has the same honest and experimental spirit of her prior releases. The only drawback to this album (other than the, seemingly, lack of promotion) is her re-working of "Amazing Love," which did not require the inclusion of a rap and a reggae beat to make it accessible (check out her original version on her albums credited to Phoebe Legere and her Hot Hunks, which had a more choral backing). All in all, Phoebe is an artist one can never pigeonhole -- great vocalist and instrumentalist, and always willing to push the envelope. Viva La Legere!"
A prodigiously gifted artist

"I've never seen an artist as talented. Who else do you know who can play the piano like a virtuoso, plus the accordion and electric guitar? Who else has a nuanced but strong four-octave voice, the brains to write some pretty darn funny lyrics, and the heart to pen some achingly beautiful love songs? Who else feels comfortable singing Cole Porter, swing, punk, AND ballads? Phoebe, that's who. Catch her live if you can!"

"This CD shows The Divine One's brilliant songwriting skill, intensely personal metaphysical visionary lyrics, creative production, and exquisite tone palette. Every song on Bubbleland is packed with emotional symbolism. Legere's crystalline voice gives me goosebumps. In spite of all the tragedy and hardship in Phoebe Legere's life she keeps coming up with majestic songs that hammer straight to the heart. This CD, made in her bedroom (?) is an indie homerun."
I AM SO AMAZED

"I have no words to convey my gratitude to my ever growing internet audience. :) I made Bubbleland in my bedroom. Listening to it again I'm still amazed by it.
Tristan produced the CD with me. I think it's very interesting...I like all the different sounds and colors...
I play a Moog Liberation analog synth on"Love Bubble" and midi accordion on "Never." Tristan plays mandolin on Lady Friday and Steve Epstein plays trumpet on Armageddon. Sterling Campbell(David Bowie) made some gorgeous beats for me. Jeff Ganz(Johnny Winter) plays bass on Madly.
This may not be as slick as some major label product-It wasn't produced by a bunch of bean counting executives - We made this CD ourselves!... but it real and it has heart.
