CD ReviewsGreat roots Kenneth N. Fricklas | Boulder, CO | 06/09/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is (as far as I know) the only US release by the slide-guitar wizard Peter Wells. Wells is fairly well known to audiences down under, as a member of the legendary Aussie rock band Rose Tattoo and solo, having been the opening act for everyone from Dylan to the Stray Cats. That said, this is a roots album in the style of the more upbeat Dylan, lots of slide (of course) and a blues band. The songs are consistently strong, and Wells gravelly voice works well. The first few tracks earn this the 5 star rating... its too bad this album didn't make more a splash on this side of the ocean."
