Synopsis

Product Description
While credited solely to Peter Rowan, Texican Badman could safely be called a Peter Rowan/Jerry Garcia album supported David Grisman, Flaco Jiminez, John Kahn and fellow Grateful Dead member Bill Kreutzman among others. Garcias familiar guitar is all over this release. Grisman and Rowan had been members of Bill Monroes Bluegrass Boys in the mid-sixties before forming rock band Earth Opera. Rowan then moved on to Seatrain before forming Old & In The Way with Garcia, Kahn and Vassar Clements. Writer of Panama Red for the New Riders of the Purple Sage, Rowan continues to tour constantly to this day.

"Well, what can one say about apostle Peter's music?...the tallent continues. Texas Badman shows an extraordinarly combination of coffeehouse music of the early seventies, southern rock, swing, country, wraped together with flair. His music visually, physically, and spiritually takes one through a musical spectrum of American music."
