I have an admiration for Mr. Elman's work. He has a canny knack for taking you to a western-sounding environment. Somewhere the tumble weeds roll in the dry breeze. He invites you to slip away from the well traveled musical styles and puts you in a rocking chair outside the local saloon. I have three of his recordings and can recomend them all.

"I have all three Peter Elman CD's and have been listening to his music since 96 or 97 and I have always found it relaxing and very enjoyable. I do not consider this New age and I really do not like the reference to that music when speaking of this. I have labeled it New Southwestern or just Southwestern or even modern western or some variation of that. The music is easy on you and if you like to listen on your own like I do it's a nice way of escaping whatever troubles you for awhile. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!"
