These programs made for The Armed Forces Radio Sevice in 1945/46 highlight Perry's relaxed way of singing, his friendliness and his sence of humour. He amassed one hundred records in the charts between 1943 and 1954. He even seemed impervious to the arrival of Rock 'n' Roll because he kept on recording hits for RCA Victor right up until 1973.
