"This is a really good, no great, performance of rarely heard set pieces from the bel canto operas of Mercadante and Pacini. Finally someone is dusting off the great works of these composers and performing them as they cry out to be performed. A necessary purchase for any lover of Donizetti, Rossini, Bellini, and the early Verdi. Great production from everybody involved: composers, singers, conductor, orchestra, Opera Rara. Highly, highly recommended."
