"An Amazon recommendation helped me find this artist (new to me, but apparently well known in her home). The producer is Max de Castro, a very active producer in Brazil (and who also is represented here at Amazon). The music here is an interesting mix of traditional Brazilian rhythms and percussion instruments with a very strong pop overlay. In particular the singer has a strong funk or R&B flavor to her style that is quite nice -- a little like the way Jorge Ben Jor in the 80's had a stronger funk edge to his music than some of the popular Brazilian musicians of the day. If you like Brazilian music you should give this a try; it's a nice new edge. If you are new to Brazilian music, don't be afraid: this is very listenable, no rough edges, but not boring either."
