CD Reviews

Paul does it again!

"I don't know how he does it. Each CD is so great and filled with awesome songs, and This Time Around is no different. From the catchy guitar tune Leavin(featuring Keith Urban) to the heartful tearjerking ballads(like Home) to the blusy humorous I'd Be the King. This album is always in my stereo. This is one of those albums you could never get sick of. Once again Paul's managed to create a great album. Way to go!"
Paul brandt won't slip under the radar much longer

"Paul Brandt's CD's just keep getting better and better. He is an excellent singer who writes excellent material. There are definite standouts on this album, there's "leaving", "run to me" (excellent slow song), "I still do" (another excellent slow song). If you like country music then this is definitely an excellent album to pick up. As the title of this review states, Paul won't slip under the radar much longer as this cd will surely make his name more mainstream not only in canada, but in the US aswell."
Welcome back, Paul! A superb comeback effort.

"Awesome new disc by one of Canada's best country performers, This Time Around really hits the high notes! From the lead remake, and superb version of "Convoy," to the last song "That's What I Love About Jesus," this is a tight, well put together disc."Convoy" really brings back the spirit of the original but with modern production, one can really make out what the CB parts were. Paul pulls off a superb version that ranks right alongside the original by C. W. McCall. "Leavin'" is just a good ole' plain hit! I can't get enough of listening to it and having Keith Urban guest on guitars (though I couldn't find it credited in the album notes) just adds to the tune. As an Albertan who moved away and came back, I really get "Alberta Bound;" this truly is God's country. From the ballad "Run to Me" to the bluesy, and comedic, "The King" and the standard "Rich Man," one just can't go wrong with this disc.Way to go Paul! This definitely ranks as one of your best."
