CD Reviews

What a waste, only 10 songs in one CD
Long Distance Voyager | Hong Kong, China | 07/31/2002
(1 out of 5 stars)

"I just don't know why the record companies kept pushing out CDs with only ten songs, especially in the U.S.A., only 20 odd minutes of music contained in this "Curb" CD makes it less attractive, Vol.1 & Vol.2 should be incorporated as 1 CD. Those who want to get hold of Paul Anka's ABC/Paramount originals in one CD should look for the CD "THE GOLDENBOWL - Paul Anka's Original Greatest Hits", ASIN : B000065VNX, a soundtrack album of a Japanese TV drama using Paul's songs as background music issued on 2002.5.22. and is still available at (search for Paul Anka, the CD cover is the one with a jukebox on the left and a sofa in orange and white strip on the right, this information is updated on 28 Mar 2007). Altogether 23 of Paul most popular hits including a 2002 version of "You are my destiny". You can also find Paul's oldies CDs from his official website."
Paul Anka -Big Hits Vol 1 and 2
Jorge Palmer | 06/27/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This two records ( Big 10 Vol 1 and 2) are great! The music is recorded in stereo and they are the real old hits from Anka. Sound is great and original hits with the original orchestra are a masterpiece. I have been tryn to get the old 21 hits albun, but I only found this records and is a good value.Important: these are the original recordings."
Anka's best years
Jorge Palmer | 03/13/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Contains all his best, these 2 volumes. But some songs are badly missing which reflect the sad state of Anka's catalogue. How about a decent 2 CD-compilation with his ABC-paramount sides? It's impossible to find. Once, long ago, this guy gave us some powerful, emotional songs to dance to."
