From Mouseketeers to The Party
06/05/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"In 1990,Albert Fields,DeeDee Magno,Chase Hampton,Damon Pampolina, and Tiffini Hale formed their own singing group while still being Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club. The Party's debut album is an incredible teen pop album, and it's not as sugar coated as people think it would be.Track #1: That's Why kicks off the album,Albert really knows how to get down and funky on this song.Track #2: Coulda Shoulda Woulda this time finds DeeDee taking the mic on this one. This song has a definite up-tempo groove you can dance to. Track #3:I Found Love brings in a latin flavor with Tiffini. She also helps out Damon on the rap break on here as well.Track #4: Walking In The Rain: DeeDee sings this cover of a Partridge Family/David Cassidy song.Track #5:Sugar Is Sweet finds Albert and DeeDee singing a duet on this track. Really sets the mood too.Track #6: I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend gives Chase the chance to rock out.Track #7: On Summer Vacation,Damon and Albert rap about the stress of school and preparing for summer.Track #8:Tiffini goes boy crazy on I'm Just Wishin'.Track #9: Storm Me finds Albert delivering a soulful and smooth vocal range on this ballad.Track #10: Dancing In The City brings back Tiffini for this fast paced club song.Track #11: Rodeo is another fast paced song this with Chase singing lead vocals.Track #12:Ton Of Bricks finds Damon taking the mic on here. His singing ability ain't great, but hey, nobody's perfect. All in all,it was a great start for these former Mouseketeers. PARTY 4-EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"This was my favorite group when I was in junior high. These guys never got enough recognition. They were great, and I totally recommend giving their albums a try."
