At 3hrs. 40 min. on 3 discs this may be one of the briskest 'Parsifal's in existence. I'm not an expert, but I find this performance quite enjoyable. The recording only occasionally lets you hear some shuffling noises, but no where near the noise of a usual live opera performance. There are no thumps or bumps etc. On the downside, there is no libretto or synopsis in the booklet, which is more focused on Kegel."
