"If you are unfamiliar with Paolo Conte, this is the CD to introduce you to this musical and lyrical genius. He's a poet and has rare creative talent. I'm intrigued how he uses his voice in an almost raw, yet natural Italian way that captures your attention. He's free and loves to explore, and even if you don't understand the lyrics, you will understand what I am saying when you hear him sing. He doesn't exactly sing songs, Paolo Conte makes music!He not only freely exlores sounds and musical combinations but intimate thoughts, such as the second cut of this collection... "Chi siamo noi?" Who are we .......and where are we going. I applaud this cut as he explores this question in the musical format of a rumba!!!! This guy has fun with his craft. La Topolino,the 4th cut, as we know it, a mouse, the classic VW bug, is a joy! And even if your Italian amounts to a simple "Ciao", you won't have any problem getting an uplift from his music or introspective feelings as he muses in....."Pittori Della Domenica"....Sunday Painters.A true musical painter.. of melody, words, rythyms, sounds, pauses and combinations make for very entertaining listening. I love this man's music, and I think this is one of his best CD's. This one will make you a fan!"
