DC-Jam Records is proud to announce the re-release of Painted Willie's long unavailable record Mind Bowling. Originally released on SST Records in 1985, the album is now available for the first time ever on CD and digital download. Formed from the ashes of Sin 34, Painted Willie was then signed to SST Records. The band fit with the label's trademark sense of adolescent humor, though tied more to straight-ahead rock than punk or hardcore. Guitarist Vic Makauskas, bassist Phil Newman, and drummer/filmaker Dave Markey formed in Los Angeles in 1984 with a second guitarist Nick Delaney, then dropped Delaney and released Mind Bowling on SST as a three piece in 1985.
