CD Reviews

Excellent industrial rock/metal album.

"Peter Tagtgren writes, performs, and produces this entire album (with obvious exception of the Beatles cover). There is a good amount of variety to these songs, but they retain a very cohesive feel from song to song. What stands out most to me is the production. As can be expected from such a talented producer, every song is loud, clear, and sonically perfect. As for the music itself, I would place this in the same category as industrial rock/metal bands like Theatre of Tragedy, Rammstein, or even Static-X to a degree; but Pain has it's own flavor (and most of that is due to the perfect production). This album rocks hard on almost every song. There are tons of catchy melodies that would do great on the radio. Why Pain is so underground, I'll never understand."
Pain- Nothing Remains The Same

"Pain's third album to date, "Nothing Remains The Same" is a techno trip that is similar to groups such as Rammstien and Prodigy. Peter Tagtgren is the genius of Pain, responsible for almost everything in the music end of the release. He is the Sweedish-Trent Reznor, but in my opinion he has more guts than the Nine Inch Nails frontman. The sound of Pains third release is the best of yet and the sytle keeps developing and improving. It's a shame America has not caught on to Pain yet."
Love is PAIN

"This album is less techno/dancy than the last one "Rebirth"-less speedy-but it is a better produced and has a lot more depth.
Peter uses his voice a lot more and uses different styles of vocal, some times sounding like Ozzy. There is one track which, unusually, Peter did not produce or write "Just Hate Me" whilst it may be by the makers of awful pop songs this track is not out of place here and like the rest of the tracks is extremely catchy and note how Peter manages to make the words "geese" and "sprinter"sound really salacious!
Eleanor Rigby is given the Tagtgren treatment and works well.Almost every song should be a single-they're so fantastic! Lets just hope Peter brings his Pain to play in the UK very soon."
