"Before I tell you abot The Ultimate Sin, let me first tell you that I was extremely disappointed with "Bark at the Moon" as a kid when it came out. It followed two great classics and fell flat, imo. So, when 'Ultimate Sin' came out, I didn't know quite what to expect. Let's just say that after listening to the first track that first time, (the title track), I was completely stoked! What a great song! Okay, I said, Bark at the Moon started with a great song, too, and then fell flat. So I continued to listen to the album and, lo and behold, IT ROCKED! This was my favorite album in High School, and I quite frankly don't understand anyone dissing this. Great songs include, Ultimate Sin, Never, Never Know Why, Lightning Strikes, Killer of Giants and, of course, Shot in the Dark. This is one of my all-time favorite Ozzy albums and will always hold a special place not only because of the time it came out for me (High School), but also because it resurrected Ozzy from the relatively weak Bark at the Moon. Highly recommended."

"Guitarist Jake E. Lee, the most underrated and best musician Ozzy has ever worked with. This guy may not have been Randy on guitar but he writes songs and helped Ozzy have great success after Randy's tragic Death. Jake is more of a total musician than any of Ozzy's other players, not just a guitar player as you can see with Badlands in witch he wrote the music for. Jake wrote this album while Ozzy was in rehab, Ozzy fans know that he always got by with a little help from his pals.

Although the reason Jake left the band or wanted to was because of the comparisons and close relationship Ozzy had with Randy Rhoads. Jake considered his work with Ozzy as a job I think. He and Bob Daisey were great writers for Ozzy. That's why the songs are better on Ozzy's early albums. Zach Wylde, may have been a great player for Ozzy I'm not sure if he contributed in those writing songs area's. He also wanted to do his own thing as did Jake at the time after this album. Anyway enough truth, this is a great, fun album, with killer tunes!"
