"What a great recording. Oscar Peterson never ceases to amaze me. These are thoughtful, rich, beautifully executed songs-especially "Bossa Beguine" and "L'Impossible". Yes there is *some* background hiss, but I think the previous reviewer may be mistaking some of the drummers brush-work for background hiss. At times when the drummer does not do brush work on the snare there is an audible decrease in the amount of 'hiss', hence my thinking that he or she is confused. This is not to say that the album should not be remastered-every older jazz release can benefit from remastering. Anyway, good tunes and a very enjoyable listening experience.Recommended."
