CD Reviews

A 4-member Vocal Group, a master in Bossa Nova
Carlos from Rio | Rio de Janeiro, RJ Brazil | 01/18/2007

"
Think about The Freshmen or The Hi Los and what they represent to serious work on vocalization in a group format for American music. Ok?

Now if you look for something similar in Brazilian music or Bossa Nova, the group is Os Cariocas, a spectacular group that has survived the present days, maintaining its incredible top quality.

The repertoire is 1,000 stars and all originals by Os Cariocas, all great standards of Bossa Nova.

This is a compilation of their work for Philips Records (Universal label today), a must-have album as well as all Os Cariocas' material."
Carlos nailed it.

Fun -- and I'm buying an extra copy for the vocal professor at our local college as a gift - - - he loved Quarteto Em Cy......................."
