Synopsis

Album Description
Recorded live in Berlin in 1971, this set features Charlie Haden on bass, the prominent solos of Dewey Redman on tenor, and Ed Blackwell's delightful drumming. But the real stars are the compositions themselves, which are wonderful vehicles for inspired improvisation. Coleman picks up his bandmate's lines as if in mid-thought and extends them seamlessly.

Ornette coleman whom do you work for
M. W. Mcnabb | auckland new zealand | 01/20/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Forget the sound quality which is'nt that bad...this is superb Ornette music...Ornette is great on violin and trumpet as well as alto,Dewey Redman burns on tenor, and Haden and Blackwell are ,as always, the perfect rhythm section for this music."
