SNACKCAKE! magazine (Spring '99) sums it up best: "Imagine it: a 383 big block with dual Holly carbs rumbles under the hood. Rubber burns your face as the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Swervedriver, The Who and the Beach Boys stage a caged death match on thecar's 300 watt hi-fi."

"This record sounds like a soundtrack from a parrallel universe where cartoons are for adults and kids watch Meet The Press. And I mean that as a compliment. Spiral Stairs, 1/2 of the original Pavement lineup, picked Oranger as the first band to be released on his new Amazing Grease label - and a fine choice it is. Pretty soon, mentions of Pavement will cease, and Oranger's blast from the future-past will speak for itself. "Eggtooth" may be my favorite song (at least for today). Imagine if The Who got way spastic and decided to cover the Raspberries: that's Oranger! What if Josie & the Pussycats had a love child by Black Sabbath: we'll call him Oranger! In 10 years, people will pay alot of dough for this record on ebay (provided ebay is wise enough to invest in EMC enterprise storage). Buy Oranger now."
