"Better than Time Travelling Blues (which was also rad.) The guitars and bass are a bit more fuzzed out, drums a little faster, and vocals more aggro thanks to the production of ex-Kyuss/Obsessed bassist Scott Reeder. Hey, even John Garcia sings on two of these songs (another star.) A nice cover of We Bite by the Misfits is near the end of the album. Basically, combines all the goods of Kyuss's Wretch (fast rocking and heavy jams) with the refined sound of And the Circus Leaves Town (perfect bass and guitar tones.) ..."
Orange Goblin has changed...and it is good

"This CD is definately of a more hardcore slant v.s. the old style, slower sludge metal. I'll admit that it was the psychedelic tracks of previous albums (particularly "Frequences..") that turned me onto this band in the first place. But I love this new CD..much better than the last one, Big Black. The John Garcia (of Kyuss) tracks are just icing on the cake. This is a fantastic CD, but dont be looking for the psycho-stoner rock of before..this is a much more aggresive sound for them...and it is good. Enjoy!"
