Fantastic...

"I cannot believe this CD is being sold at bargain price. It has some beautiful recordings. I love Domingo's Una Furtiva Lagrima even better than Pavarotti's on the London Label. Domingo has a better conductor, Sir John Pritchard. Te Kanawa is awesome, but the orchestra is too distant in that Maazel recording of Don Giovanni. Scotto's Casta Diva is great with a more balanced recorded sound, even if Joan Sutherland reaches higher notes. Cortubas and Wixell are, of course, great artists too. The whole CD is a steal. It would have been nice to have had a little more Mozart on this CD, but you can only fit so much on one disc. Sony has some real gems in their collection which too often gets overlooked because they don't have the glamour of Deutsche Grammophon or Philips. Buy this CD...don't hesitate."
