CD Reviews

The wait is over- finally a great dance song out of Romania!
S. Coleman | Cambridge, MA | 07/28/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This song has been a phenomenon in Italy since it premiered. In every club and street market, the song blares and instantly brings revelry. While Romanian is a hard language to master, everyone still tries to sing along. If you are looking for a truly great song to just enjoy while goofing off with friends, you can't do much better than haiducci!

Please, take a chance on this CD- you won't regret it!"
C'mon Now, it's just fun happy warm weather dancin' music

"Sometimes you just need a happy song that you can hop around the house to. This one is it. It's unfortunate that the group broke up already. My story is...I bought a Total Gym, I wondered how I was going to get myself started, then I put on a couple versions of Mai Ai Hee that totalled 10 minutes, put them on a loop and voila, I have my workout program. I have sore muscles where I haven't had muscles for 20 years. These reviews should be on the main page and not the reviews that put the song down. Also, I'm a huge BSB fan and am going to their show tonight in DC, so to put them in the same category is fine, FUN HAPPY MUSIC!!! (Don't forget to listen to Despre Tine and De De Plang Chitarele)"
What about the Romanians?
Andrew G. Roehl | Janesville, WI USA | 09/19/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I just spent a month in Europe (two weeks in Germany and two in Romania) and while I was in Germany this song was number one. I heard this song about every five minutes on the radio or anywhere I went pretty much. Then when I went to Romania (where this band is from) I think I heard the song twice the whole time I was there. I asked some of the people I knew, and their responses were pretty much the same. "O-Zone is a very popular band but that song isn't" So there you have it. The Germans love it; the Romanians don't. I give it four stars, three for the fact that the beat is great and its a positive energizing song. The lyrics aren't that great except for comical purposes mainly. I did give it one extra star on sedimental value, because it will always remind of this crazy girl I left behind there."
