Album Description
Nutsak played its first show in 1996, and though its members have been extremely active in Montreal's music scene they have never recorded an album under this name until now. Founding members Sam Shalabi (The Shalabi Effect, Land Of Kush) and Chris Burns (American Devices, GlassBurns) are certainly not newcomers to the experimental and improv music scenes. Their live and recorded collaborations include performances with Rhys Chatham, Mike Watts, Damo Suzuki, and an appearance in the Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There with members of Calexico and My Morning Jacket. This album features unique cover versions of "My Favorite Things" and the Willie Dixon tune "Hidden Charms."
