"I think that is a good music like Bebel Gilberto or other people playing the "new Braziliab Music".I recommend this CD everybody likes Brazilian sounds."
Multi-instrumentalists + great vocalist

"from website:

"From Sao Paulo, Brazil, multi-instrumentalists Mauricio Tagliari, Luca Raele and Guga Stroeter have been playing together, under the name Nouvelle Cuisine, since 1989. For "Free Bossa", their first album, they have dropped the culinary connection and present themselves simply as Nouvelle. They are joined by singer Estela Cassilatti, Marinho Andreotti on double bass and a host of drummers and percussionists Nouvelle has worked with in recent years.

This album reflects the rich musical influence of Brazilian musicians such as Joao Gilberto, Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti... Free Bossa" - swinging, but cool; hot, but always elegant."

I easily groove to a lot of the songs; many feature great vocals, vibes and clarinet in a Brazilian jazz format (small ensemble plus vocalist). Not too much strict bossa, no electronica, no rock, no string section, not really MPB either. A couple of old jazz standards are included, and a "Dock of the Bay" cover. The final song heads towards free jazz territory. If you like the sound clips you'll like the CD. I don't know why Amazon has this listed as "explicit lyrics" - it's mostly smooth listening (and that's meant as a compliment)."
