"Anthem has some great, original music from talented artist nomy lamm. The CD is as genuine and radical as nomy herself. Lamm is an original voice, not a corporate creation. She earned her voice the hard way, by suffering daunting reality. Nomy also has an impressive educational background that contributes to her work. Lamm is a "greener", a graduate of The Evergreen State College. Nomy brings to the listener her unique view of subjects such as feminism and capitalism. Lamm also dives into a darker subject, her disability from losing a leg as a child. She reaches deep into her suffering and offers her audience emotion and honesty that makes this CD worthwhile. The fabric of nomy's music is of a texture that improves each time you hear it. The music is always fresh and provocative. Its much more than mere entertainment; its substance on special level.
