"NFAA's back catalog has been spottily out-of-print for a while now, so now that they have officially called it quits it's great that Epitaph and Burning Heart came together to issue this monster 24-track overview of their entire career. NFAA's fans voted for these particular tracks, which makes this compilation an outstanding sample of all their hits, because as we know: the fans know the score. The breakdown is as follows: 6 tracks from No Straight Angles, 3 tracks from Vision, 6 tracks from Out Of Bounds, 4 tracks from The Big Takeover, 3 tracks from their swansong State Of Flow, and 2 unreleased tracks. Makes for an excellent summation of their career, and you really can't argue with the track selection. The Bad Religion/Pennywise SoCal influence is readily apparent with NFAA, but they have their own sort of smooth vocal style that sets them apart. And what made them stand out as "not just another skatepunk band" was their uncanny knack for writing insanely catchy hooks. Sometimes the singalong nature of the songs can be overwhelming, but almost no one this side of Graffin/Gurewitz can write hooks like No Fun At All. These songs will be stuck in your head for days, and you'll know the lyrics by the 2nd or 3rd time you listen. NFAA do have that trademark skatepunk sound, but it's done better than 90% of the bands out there, so if EpiFat is your thing, you can't do much better than to pick up this fortunate collection."
