Product Description Nashville native Mac Gayden got many gigs as a studio musician appearing on albums by Bob Dylan and J.J. Cale (among others). He created the famous "slide-wah" guitar technique, playing slide guitar through a wah-wah pedal - made famous by J.J. Cale's "Crazy Mama." During the late 60's, he wrote and performed with Area Code 615, a group of the same studio musicians who recorded on Bob Dylan's "Blonde On Blonde" LP. After two albums, that band splintered and went on to form Barefoot Jerry. Mac Gayden remained with them for the first album, "Southern Delight," but the group went on to perform many more critically acclaimed albums. Mac Gayden wrote the classic hit song "Everlasting Love" with Buzz Cason. In 1999, BMI drafted its top 100 most played songs of the century, and Everlasting Love was number 54. Perhaps best known as the writer of the seventies pop hit "Everlasting Love" (which was covered recently by U2 for the "Forces of Nature" soundtrack), Mac Gayden delivers a winner here. His unique style of playing slide guitar with a "wah-wah" pedal highlights a cool range of original tunes and a kickin' version of JJ Cale's "Crazy Mama."
