"a great strong lp by this band with lots of famous help. anchored by bass player gerry mcavoy and strong vocals and guitar by dennis greaves this is a pleasant find. straight ahead rock with with blues influence along the lines of rory gallagher. sharp harp playing by alan glen give it more pazazz. out since 1994 i've always liked the no frills energy this cd has. i just now noticed gerry mcAvoy's name on it and it all made sense.

"I bought this CD solely for the duet that ALANNAH MYLES does with the band. Alannah totally rocks Aretha Franklin's classic " I NEVER LOVED A MAN " like a wild woman with the lead singer of the band. Great phrasing, singing, vocalizing . Alannah completists will want this just for this superb recording. And this rock version of the song was done way before Aerosmith covered it too. Alannah rocks!"
