Warm, Romantic works.

"10 is a later reworking of a student quartet. 11 uses themes from earlier Myaskovsky works and is subtitled "Reminiscences". Both are charming major key works. 9 starts of the disc in a minor key mood that wouldn't be out of place among Schubert's later quartets. The Taneyev play these works with obvious affection, and the recording is warm and present. I will return to this disc with pleasure."
