"Antonio Fernandez, aka "Nico Saquito" was the creator of the guaracha. For five decades the great songwriter and guitarist kept Cuban music on the go with his humoristic and rhythmical compositions, for which he was aclaimed throughout the world.
This album was recorded during the period of 1980-81, prior to Saquito's death in 1982. An all star ensemble gathered with Saquito at the Egrem recording studios in Havana for these historical sessions. To name a few: Maximiliano Sanchez "Bimbi", lead voice,chorus and guitar, Alberto Aroche, lead voice and chorus Carlos Embale, lead voice and chorus and the man himself Nico Saquito, guitar and chorus.
