What I don't understand is why people are expecting them to sound like green day... this is The Network, NOT green day... if they wanted to have the same sound, they'd call themselves green day again. It wouldnt make much sense to change their name yet keep the same sound... This album is awesome, this new sound is amazing, and the videos are unbelievable. In my opinion, whoever made those videos should be making more tight videos for other bands. Money Money 2020 is saturated with B.J. Armstrong's vocal talents (as well as his speaking/oratorical voice on the song,"Spike"). This album can best be described as post-punk 80s Devo-ish new wave music (if that makes sense). It's bizarre listening to this album for the first time when you already know it's Green Day while you expect their typical pop-punk thrashings and strummings. But after you get used to the sound and listen to the lyrics it becomes an extremely entertaining album that is especially suited to hardcore GD fans. The whole The Network fascade is hilarious. The world's favorite East-Bay trio shows off its melodious talent better than ever on this venture and it's a must-buy for anyone who absolutely loves Green Day."
