Through more than 100 published works and many recordings, Rands has been firmly established as a major figure in contemporary music. The recording includes now again--fragments from Sappho, a work commissioned for the Network for New Music, the brilliant ensemble based in Philadelphia with a 25 year history of adventurous and innovative programming.
