"First off, let me say this: the audio samples on Amazon do not do this record justice. Native Nod's music is very intricate and cannot be understood by a mere 10 second sample. Unlike, most of the so-called "emo" bands I hear today, Native Nod was a fixture of a real underground scene in NYC in the early 90's. Their lyrics are profound and the music is gut wrenching. If you haven't heard the band then just take the chance and buy it. It will be more than worth it."

"this cd collects the entire native nod discography. all considered, that's only a few 7"s and a song from the fear of smell comp. the band was comprised of silly little teenagers and the songs show it in their earnest energy. some tracks are a little spotty, but the song "tangled" is well worth the purchase price alone."
