Album DescriptionOn a speck of an island in the Bahamas that was made famous by Ernest Hemingway, rum running and big game fishing comes the music of Nathaniel Saunders. Mr. Saunders is an 89 year-old Bahamian Artist who has been playing music since the late 1920?s. His songs have a timeless quality that document the life and times on a small Bahamian out-island. Mr. Saunders is the consummate storyteller he even acted as Hemingway?s fishing guide on many a trip and contributed key sections to his Nobel prize winning book ?Old Man And The Sea?.It is with great pleasure that Victory World releases this album. Some of the songs on this album are over 70 years old and would have never been heard outside of the small island of Bimini if not documented here. This album was recorded on location- all of the gear was brought over from Miami on two twin engine planes. Mr. Saunders? ?bar? was transformed into a recording studio and the process began. The music and the songs on this album are as real as it gets and have immense historical value.
