"I was a lucky one to Hear Natan Brand Live in 1980....at the New York Times Building......it was a free concert. Free! The Concerts Featured the 9'6" Busendorfer....ok I spelled it wrong! BUT.....that was a concert I will never forget. Never!! He started with Chopin and ended with Pictures at an Exibition....



Get this.....at the finale Great Gate.....he held his powerful line so much that it literally pulled the person next to me out of his seat....and me too....then I read this from a google search:

Natan Brand could have been one of the great pianists of the 20th century except for two stumbling blocks. First, he was a mercurial person who was not well understood. Second, he died prematurely in 1990 at the age of 46.

I was shocked and actually hurt.....I wanted to hear him again....



now the good news: I recorded that concert of 1980....they always aired it the next week on the radio.....I have it!!!!!!
