This album features orchestrations which fall into three distinctive styles and as usual Nancy Wilson gives all of these songs her very own treatment. From the no holds barred big band version of 'Hello Dolly' to the swinging treatment of 'I've Got Your Number'. Then there's the rich string orchestra that accompanies her on 'I'll Only Miss Him When I Think Of Him' followed by a much smaller band on 'Makin' Whoopee' and 'This Dream'. Tender Loving Care is an album of love songs but not all sung or orchestrated in the form of slushy ballads. Some are pure romance and love but others really swing like 'Gee Baby, Ain't I Good To You'. Billy May arranges and conducts on this album. It is probably the most seductive vocal performance ever recorded - using words and music. Nancy can whisper a lyric with such subtlety, yet so sensuously that romance permeates every corner of the room. Tender Loving Care is for late-night cuddling with that special someone. Yes, this album is about a man and a woman. Ballads and beauty... "The love I bring you, so openly is like a flower breaking through. It only needs to blossom fair a little tender loving care. With no instructions, no demands I place my heart within your hands. And only ask that while it's there, you'll give it tender loving care." ... Turn the lights down low, pour the wine. By the time "As You Desire Me" begins, Romance is front and center. Forget the kids, the bills, the in-laws, the gossip... (get that too for you beginners), so i took the time and finally got all her cds that are on cd and got them all.. from amazon.com of course... including her last cd Turned To Blue.. LOVE IT!! just take a few minutes and listen to the samples here... but getting the cd is much better..!"
