"Nancy Freeman's "Logick" is one of those albums that grows on you. I will grant you (and so will Nancy, I imagine) that her three-octave voice takes a little getting used to at times. But these lyrics! Those melodies! Hey, Jazz singers--check out "Where Did Those Blue Skies Go?" Hey, Nanci Griffith--listen to "Overland Stage--" you could sing this song. Come to think of it, just about everybody who hears "Overland Stage" ends up wanting to learn it and sing it and that would be fine with me.Like your songs funny? Nancy has an interesting sense of humor that seeps out of many of the tracks here. Buy this for "Blue Knight," "Gilgamesh" and her strange version of "Polly Wolly Doodle." Take a chance on someone you never heard of. After all, she's never heard of you, either."
