"N17 has been the word on the Arizona underground for quite some time. "Trust No One" showed that these guys meant bizness and "Defy Everything" holds up just fine. I've seen these guys play live at Boston's & their live show is just as intense. Standout tracks are "Mirror", "Mute" & "Waste". The (too)short instrumental "Descent" is great and shows depth. Plus Chris C is a very nice guy. Their new band Mission 66 is not quite N17 but, that was then, this is now. The only bad thing I have to say is I paid for a cd & shirt through their website and never got it. Other than that, power to local music. Watch out for Phoenix...We are the next scene!!!"

"This cd is kickass. The songs have a lot more dynamics, there are hooks on there that could catch a whale. This album is heavy, very heavy, there are fast songs like rust, slow songs like BAAL and Cleanse, instrumentals (2 of them). Trust no one was a great first cd, this is a far better cd for pure exploration of what the music and lyrics can do together. Defy everything is not a single,or a collection of singles. If you want singles, go buy gravity kills cd's, that way you can play track 4 and not worry about the other tracks, N17 cds are meant to be played whole and loud.BAAL is the best track on this cd."

"Without a doubt, one of the greatest up and coming bands. While I personally liked their first cd "Trust No One" for songs like "Religion" and "Creation", this one is still incredible. Pick them both up, you'll not be disappointed."
