Synopsis

Product Description
Vicarious features the award-winning songs, instrumentation and vocals of Mythica. This 9-track album was recorded and produced by Marc Moss at Target Studios, who also produced David Bromberg's 2007 Grammy-nominated album Try Me One More Time. Vicarious features an arsenal of instruments, including classical and fiddle style violin, woodwinds, Uillean pipes, guitar, mandolin, piano, keyboards, hand percussion, drum kit, bass, and more. On this particular album, Mythica explores their broad musical tastes and influences, opting for variety across the playlist. An stylistically diverse album, genres include Celtic, New Folk, alternative, rock, Newgrass, New Age, and even some jazz, big band and funk. Embracing their Celtic Fusion moniker, Mythica strives to incorporate Celtic instruments into nearly every song on this award-winning album. Tying the CD together are the powerful vocals of lead singer Melissa Cox. Cox, who was voted Delaware s Best Singer/Songwriter of 2008 by Spark Magazine & the Delaware Division of the Arts, is a classically trained mezzo soprano whose voice has been compared to those of Grace Slick, Loreena McKennitt, Tori Amos, Dolores O Riordan (of the Cranberries), and Sarah McLachlan. Mythica s first studio project, a four-song EP titled Dangerous Little Monster, is also available on Amazon, and on their website MythicaMusic.com. Mythica tours the U.S., primarily along the East Coast.
